Dr Pras Sivam

MBBS BMedSci FRACS (Urology)

Dr Pras Sivam (Prassannah Satasivam) is a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons and a Member of the Society of Urologic Oncology.

Pras performs a wide range of urologic procedures, from laser treatment of kidney stones to Urolift for male voiding dysfunction. He has a subspecialty focus in robotic and open surgery for cancers of the prostate, kidney, bladder and testis. Particular areas of expertise include robotic prostatectomy with lymph node dissection, MRI-guided prostate biopsy, open and robotic kidney surgery, and major surgery for bladder and testis cancer.

Pras grew up in Melbourne and graduated from Haileybury College as Dux of the School in 1998. He was admitted to The University of Melbourne Medical School with a tertiary entrance rank of 99.95. After completing his postgraduate surgical training in Victoria, he accepted a prestigious Fellowship in Urologic Oncology at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center in New York. This gave him formal training in robotic surgery and exposure to a high volume of complex cancer cases.

Pras consults privately in Camberwell, Richmond, Mount Waverley and Epping. He operates predominantly at Epworth Hospital in Richmond and Cabrini Hospital in Malvern. Through his public hospital appointments his patients have access to waiting lists at the Royal Melbourne Hospital and The Northern Hospital.
